Quick Update for the Weekend...

If you're planning on coming in for Valentine goodies, we have just one of the Vintage Valentine Kits left and 2 of the Je' Taime Valentine Packs left. Even if you aren't planning on coming in and really, really want one of these just call us and we'll gladly send it your way!

Here is our rare find of a novel that has PINK pages! This poor book has been torn up just for all of you. We do have just under half a book left. This is perfect background for any Valentine's Day or other Girlie project that calls for some vintage pink.

And how about those Presidents? Presidents Day is just around the corner~yeah like you're all gonna run in here to buy some Gerald Ford or Bill Clinton paraphernalia right? Well, if that's what you're into...we have it! We even have some presidential wives too.

There really is some more CHA photos to come~ maybe tomorrow? Keep an eye out.
So Much to Talk About...

Where to even start? How about a little peek of the Ranger booth? These are what some of the artists did with Claudine Hellmuth's Studio Sticky-Back Canvas, which we have in stock. It is always so fun to see what different people do with product. We also have Claudine's line of Studio Paints on order. The paints are wonderful to use and so many great colors. Also if you go to Claudine's Blog you can see a little tutorial of what she was demoing at CHA with her paints.

Claudine Hellmuth's Color Mixing Guide~ this link will go to a printable format for the Paint Mixing Guide. So many pretty colors for you to create. You'll have to print out the guide, come buy some paint (when we get it all in) and get to mixing!

More CHA fun to follow.

Can you say "Oh My Gosh"

We have four new magazines from Stampington & Company that are simply gorgeous. You definitely will want to take them home and curl up on your favorite chair to savor these!

First is Somerset Memories and guess who is published in this one? Our own Judy Bidwell is on the top left hand page. We really think they should have shown more of this project. It's a goody. Maybe she'll bring it in to store sometime so we can show it off. Hint hint!
This is a new publication for Stampington called Apron~ology. Honestly, we didn't get it at first. How can you publish a whole magazine about aprons? Well, we get it now! This magazine is full of amazing aprons that were created by artists across the Country. Lots of Aprons with attitude. There is one very special apron on page 67 that was created by our very own Carlene Federer who is all cowgirl through and through! Did you know you were all ours Carlene? Well, you are!

This is the second issue of Where Women Create. This issue is chock full of studios that will make you drool or swoon, which ever you choose!

And last but not least, another issue of Artful Blogging. Are you suffering with bloggers block? You know who you are but we're being nice and not naming names. This issue will inspire you to get back to it. Honest, it will!

If you have to have any of these magazines and can't get here right away just give us a call and we'll hold one for you. We're nice like that! These tend to fly out of here.

New Product & Stocked Necessities...

Now many of you who shopped with us when we were in our tiny space across the street might remember these K & Company papers. We have decided to bring them back into the shop. Some things are worth bringing back in~especially if they are adding to their line.

Just check out the Ephemera pack! It has 44 pieces of wonderful ephemera...LOVE IT!

And just when we thought we were done talking Valentine's Day, we have another K & Co. line and some of the papers are just perfect for Valentine's Day. There is even a Chocolate Lover paper!

Some of the Cut n' Paste designs are so very very vintage. Check out that Bike! These papers are either glittered, foil or embossed. Everybody needs them they are just that cute.

We also have some new Bo-Bunny double sided cardstock and a great match with the K & Co. paper lines.

Many restocked Crafty Secrets stickers, stamps, cotton scraps and journal notes.

Now you can make your own tickets with these 2 set of stamps (see example below). We love the fact that you can curve the clear stamps to match the ticket.

Archival Inks in many colors along with their reinking counterparts.

More LOVE and I YOU word albums from Bo-Bunny.

We have been running out of the Glossy Accents because of all the Amate jewelry making everyone has been doing. We ordered TONS of it for you. We also have more colorful Cropodiles, Permanent Tombow Adhesive, Beeswax and Tim Holtz Tonic Scissors~ YIPPEE!

All of this great stuff should keep everybody busy and off the street until we start getting in more yummy new product shouldn't it?

Let's Talk Valentines...

We (Ellen and Jennifer, Kim's at home with Dear Aunt Myrna) just put out Valentine's product at the front of the store. We are also expecting some Basic Grey's Bittersweet Collection packs at the end of the week. We only ordered a few so come in quick claim them~ you can always call first to make sure they are in.

Valentine Bingo cards from Jenni Bowlin are still in the store but dwindling quickly each day~ what's left is gonna be it for this Love Season.

There are some new Valentine's Day Ephemera Sheets~ Love on the Range, and French Valentine's.

There are also new Valentine Paper Kits "French Je t'aime" which includes an Eiffel Tower, French Romance novel sheets, ephemera, ribbons, flowers, tags and fleur de lis~and more, I've just forgotten what all I put in them. I only make 6 of each because I always run out of the best stuff.

Vintage Valentine's kits with new 50's valentine ephemera, crepe paper, love bingo card, heart fabric, buttons, lace, ricrac, tickets a vintage valentine...did I forget anything? Probably...oh yes, I forgot about the PINK novel pages~ can you believe it? I found a whole vintage book with PINK pages!

Back in stock!
Soldering iron tips~ for both 60 watt & 30 watt soldering irons as well as flux paste and solder.

We also have more of Amate's Mini Round Pendants and have you seen them used with the Ranger Crackle Accents? It looks very cool, although you can't really tell that from the photo.
Thanks to Judy W. for the sample! You can see more pendants on Judy's blog.

Everyone's favorite Crafter's Pick Ultimate Glue is back in stock and they're packaged with the old lids! They are just so much better, I'm glad they went back to the old lids instead of the flippy ones.

I am always the one correcting Kim about using the word "I" instead of "we", but since she's at home with DAM I'm using the "I" word. I keep coming up with crazy ideas. I have one about doing an altered apron project. Look for that on the Swaps & Trades page, if I have time I'll post about it later today. That's about all of my updates for one day. Keep watching the blog this week and next while we are at CHA for updates. ~Jennifer

Today's Shabby Silhouettes...

Everyone had fun in Mike P's class today and here are just a couple of the finished pieces (we know we're lame and forgot to take pictures).

Doesn't Colleen look very happy with her finished project? We think so!

And here is Sherry with her finished Bird Cage Silhouette!

Everyone did such a beautiful job, we just wish we took more photos!
Next time you'll all have to remind us.

We Have Issues...

American Idol's Eighth Season started last night and we bet you can guess who was watching...US!

The biggest issue is that we are both big American Idol fans! So last night we both skipped out of the store a little early, and tonight is not going to be any different. So I guess what we're saying is maybe you'll need to call on Tuesdays and Wednesdays if you plan on coming to Mystic Paper in that evening~ it might be an important Idol night you never know!

This is a photo from the Phoenix auditions. Can you even imagine taking the time to hear that many thousands of people sing? No wonder Simon is so crotchety.

Seeing Spots...

Well okay, Polka Dots really~
New Ribbons just in today!
We ordered some inch and a half wide polka dots for all of those mini books that everyone is making.

And we've reordered some of our favorites! Nobody can make a recipe book without some red gingham ribbon can they? We also have some other new specialty ribbons, so pretty.

Oh yes, we also have some more YUMMY LEAVES!
