Bon Soir...

I think that means good evening. But I know that this new Chipboard by Creative Imaginations is called bon soir d-mensions. It's got the Eiffel Tower, Fleur de lis, swirls, and birds. Everything we love so much here at Mystic Paper!

Here's an after picture with some ideas of what can be done with this Chipboard.

Have you got a sweet tooth? This should satisfy it. New Chipboard in the Sweet Tooth Line from Creative Imaginations.

New Gaffer Tape from 7 Gypsies for the new Pretoria line! Ooooohhh pretty!
Restocked Gaffer Tape for the Zanzibar Line.

7 Gypsies is discontinuing their line of wax seals. Whaaaaaaa! Because of that they discounted our buying price on them and Mystic Paper is happy to pass the savings on to you. We got a good supply of the wax seals so come by and stock up. It's the old "once they're gone, they're gone" thing again!

Mystic Paper doesn't usually post pictures of our classes on the blog but this was an emergency! You see, Jennifer is out of town (in San Francisco playing) and I don't know how to post pictures on the web site so I'm doing what I know! This is an upcoming class taught by Caroline Miller.
Oops! I guess this book is on the web site...oh well, another little plug. This is a gatefold book using tons of 7 Gypsies product. You will learn unique ways to use 7 Gypsies product and will leave with a book perfect for showcasing your family photos. It is being held on Saturday, November 17th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The cost is only $48.00. Call quick to sign up!

This is the class that isn't on the web site yet. This is another altered book by Caroline Miller. It is called Old Fashioned Christmas. That is actually Santa's pocket watch set into the cover! Too cool!

You will create 12 keepsake pages to record your twelve days of Christmas.

Lots of pockets and tags...

Old Fashioned Christmas is being taught on Saturday, December 15th from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The cost is $60.00. This class is sure to fill up fast!

Call for Teachers...

Mystic Paper is putting the word out for new teachers! Guest Artists- who can teach from time to time, whenever the urge hits you, and Permanent Teachers- who can teach anywhere from one to one hundred classes per month.
Now that we have a much larger classroom, (that isn't in the middle of our store) we can have classes all day long if we want to.
We know some of you are out there hiding away in blog land. Visiting Guest Artists- even you ladies who come out to Arizona to visit, (hint, hint) we can set something up in advance for you to come teach. Doesn't that sound exciting? We think so!

For more information you can call us at 480-834-0286
or e-mail jennifer@mysticpaper.com

Were you wondering what we have been busy doing?

We have been moving the classroom and painting and rearranging for this!

Here's a better idea of what's to come.
(But ours won't be illustrated) And here's what we have so far, today. Pretty new slat wall, waiting for new product.

Here are some of the projects that you will see at the Creative Bar during one of our "Happy Hours"

We'll have more photos later. We will also announce when we will have our first official
"Happy Hour"

YEAH!
New Product for Tuesday...

Clear Stamps from Autumn Leaves.
These little puppies are only 99¢!

I'm not even ready for Halloween, but for those of you who stay ahead of the game, here are some beautiful Spring clear stamps.

We also have some new and restocked Rhonna Farrer Rub-ons, gorgeous as always.

And last, but not least...
Bronze Royalty Rub-ons from Autumn Leaves. Wait 'til Ellen sees these! Forget about marrying the brads-these are definitely marriage material.

The Renovation Continues...

Some Before photos of the "New" Classroom, with the walls all painted the same color. Look at that floor! Very ICK!

Here's Kim's DH Rick (AKA "The Peddler") fixing all the crazy holes in the floor before he can start painting it.

It looks better already!

Rick and Mike moved all of our great shabby doors from the "old" Classroom to the "new" Classroom.

Oh, so SHABBY!

If any of you have taken a class here, you have more than likely sat at our BIG table. I officially call this photo "table fighting", this table is BIG and it usually wins!

Here's Sandy, getting ready for the very first class in the "NEW" Classroom. She was here very early and got to play a lot! The classroom is very large. We are very excited about it. I think the pictures are a little deceiving, but Sandy does look like she's very far away.

Random Musings...

Awaiting Halloween...this class was scheduled on October 13th and that was such a busy day for everyone that the class was cancelled. Then magically, the phone calls started pouring in requesting that the class be taught. So, we have rescheduled it for Saturday, October 27th! 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. Please call us ASAP so that we can get you signed up. This class involves sewing, dyeing tissue paper, and burning a transparency! Too fun! Burning the transparency is a technique that Judy learned at art unraveled and was given permission to teach it here.

In the last blog we talked about renovation. It's not only happening in the NEW CLASSROOM, it's happening all over the store. Here is a before picture of our Rusty Pickle area...

And here is the after picture! What a difference some cabinets and slatwall makes.

And here is a picture of Kim's favorite brother-in-law (well, he's her only BIL). Anyway, Mike is working away in the classroom. Today he taped, and mudded (is that a word?). Tomorrow is texture day, Monday is paint day and Tuesday should be move-in day! Woo Hoo!!!
And this a slight advertisement for Mike. He is the best drywaller ever and he can be hired to do just that. Do you have any side jobs that need to be done? Call the store and we'll hook you up!
Are you wondering what is going to be where the old classroom is? Stay tuned...big things are happening!
We told you this was a random post. A little of this and a little of that. Don't forget tomorrows sale. All Wild Asparagus is buy one get one free. The new Distress Crackle Paints are buy all 24 colors and get a 20% discount, or buy 6 or more Glimmer Mists and receive a 10% discount. Figgy Pudding by Basic Grey is here too, we'll post pictures tomorrow!
See you Saturday!

The Renovation has Begun!

What renovation you ask? Well, it's time for Mystic Paper to expand our area of product so that means relocating the classroom. Not only relocating, but expanding that area as well. More room means more room! For each student and even more students. We are carefully laying this out so that everyone has adequate space, there will be more work stations when plug in tools are being used, and we will accomodate more people comfortably! Isn't that exciting? Keep watching for updates. You probably are noticing that Jennifer is MIA during this paint fest. She was busy unpacking new product! (No she wasn't)

Rusty Pickle French Market. Such gorgeous fall colors that the picture really doesn't show off the colors.

Prima 6 x 6 embossed chipboard books in three different styles. Can't wait to see what everybody does with these!

What could a super-fabulous journaling square be?

Well, SUPER-FABULOUS! Inside that tiny box are 100 journaling pages already designed for you in ten different patterns. Journal on them, attach them to your page and you're done!

Did you see Terri O demonstrate the Prima Paintable Paper the other week? There are so many ways to color your own paper. Paint, chalk, ink, the sky's the limit. Make your own paper for backgrounds, ATC'S, whatever you want!

Aren't these brads to die for? It was love at first sight for someone who works here. She's gonna marry them!

New flowers from Prima. Very "vintage millenary" looking.

And gorgeous new Rub-ons to go with the new Prima papers!

So, that's what kept Jennifer busy this afternoon (No it isn't). If you can't wait to see the new classroom area, stop by for a tour. It should only be a few more days before it's done, providing Rick and Mike hold up under our slave driving schedule.
