More info on the 7 Gypsy's Junque Calendar...

We really think there is so much more to say about this class and it's teachers.
First, more about the teacher's.

Debbie Crouse lives in Gilbert, AZ, with her husband Skip. They have four children and five grandchildren. Debbie has been published many times in a variety of books and magazines, including nine of the Designing With… books, Creating Keepsakes, Legacy, Memory Makers, Scrapbook Retailer, Paper Crafts and most currently the featured artist in Home Companion magazine. She is well known for her beautiful style that is both creative and meticulous. Debbie has been with 7gypsies since their very first show. Along with being an artistic designer who creates products that drive the scrapbooking industry, Debbie also manages a team of fabulous artists who fashion amazing projects to inspire others. When not doing 7gypsies projects, Debbie also loves to travel, go antiquing, and is always on the look out for “good stuff” to use in decorating or her next paper arts project.
Paula Cheney has been a member of the 7gypsies design team for three years. She has designed many of the class kits as well as many projects that are featured in the 7gypsies booth. Her work has been published in Paper Crafts, Memory Makers and Scrapbook Retailer. In the gypsy spirit Paula and Debbie love to travel far and wide teaching and gathering new friends and fellow gypsies along the way.

Paula has a fun sense of humor and a quick wit. She LOVES to travel to new places to look for old junk and is willing to pack a bag at a moment's notice. She lives on the Central Coast of California with her husband, Jay. On an ordinary day you can find her organizing her paper supply, rearranging her furniture, and dreaming over a Pottery Barn catalog.

We know that you will have such a great time with these two ladies! Here are a couple of close up photos of the calendar you will be making. If you are a 7 Gypsy fan, this class is a definite must~ so much detail and so much product!

Last nights Acrylic Overlay class...

The beginning of Becky's creation.

It's coming along.

Notice the definition starting to take place? He is starting to have a muzzle and a neck.

Becky's finished project. It turned out great!

The beginning of Lesley's creation.

About mid way through.

A beautiful, finished project!

Chris just getting started.

The finished project which turned out beautiful (no matter what Chris thinks).
Cece's art work just about done.

This class had more fun than we have seen (or heard) a class have in a long time! These ladies all found out that even if they can't "paint" they can do an acrylic overlay! Sandy is teaching this class again on Saturday, October 4th. If you'd like to give it a try call the store and sign up!

Saturday's "Altered Autumn Shadowbox" class.

You'll get to choose from any of the three designs seen here. Or, what the heck, we're sure Mike will let you design your own. You will have an abundance of choices when it comes to graphics and small decor items.

There's no need for you to bring any supplies unless you would like to personalize your shadowbox. Or, bring things to share and trade with other classmates.

The phone calls have already started coming in this morning to sign up for Saturday so don't wait too long!

As promised...

We sent out an e-mail today telling you about the last minute classes that Mike has scheduled for this Saturday, September 27th. This class is called "Autumn Passions" Embellishments & Hinged Beeswax Collage. Topics taught will be different applications for beeswax, safety, tools, basic technique and styles. As well, a few advanced techniques for returning students. For a complete description, times, and cost visit our class schedule.

What we don't have, as promised, is a picture of the shadow boxes that Mike will be teaching on Saturday, September 27th. We'll get those up tomorrow!

Mike will also be available on Sunday, September 28th for a "Computer" class. You let him know what you would like to learn about and he will spend time teaching you one on one. The class can be one hour or 4 hours. The cost is $35 per hour. Blogging, Etsy, Photo Shop, you name it! He will be doing this the last Sunday of every month. Just call the store to sign up and let us know your topic. Does it get any better than this?

A Little Update...

Last week we asked all of you to bring in your unwanted supplies (extra things that you don't use anymore, old stuff, things you don't have room for) to donate to the Phoenix Children's Hospital. We had such a great response, as you can see by the over flowing boxes of craft goodies. Thanks to everyone who brought in supplies.
Brian, Editor in Chief of Creating Keepsakes Magazine not only orchestrated the whole thing, but he also drove all over the valley to collect donations. Thanks Brian!

While he was here he also did a little prize drawing for those of you who donated some goodies.

The winners were:
Gwen Taylor
Arlene Striplin
Morgan Poland
So, that means if you three haven't received your prized yet, come on in to pick it up!
