These are the three books that the projects are based on, that many young girls are currently reading.
This is a perfect summer activity for girls 12 years (or entering 6th grade) and older. Classes will be held on Monday afternoons, in June and July. This class is a twist on the traditional book club. Instead of reading and discussing a book, we'll read and make art inspired by the book! Each four hour session includes supplies, a treat to eat, and a goodie bag. Classes are $40 each, sign up for all 4 classes for $140.

Literary Artification Society - The Tail of Emily Windsnap

Embellish a denim book bag with a mermaid collage and paper charms. Using paper, aluminum, ribbon, and other found stuff, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind collage window on your tote-bag. As usual, there will be a treat to eat and a goodie bag. It’s a party!
Literary Artification Society - Princess Academy Project
Monday, July 14th. 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Create a looking glass to hang in your room. You’ll use a wood base, then embellish with paint, papers, ribbon, and beautiful flowers that you make yourself. We’ll also have a treat to eat, and a goodie bag to take home. It’s a party!
Literary Artification Society - Twilight Letter Box
Monday, July 28th. 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Make a letter box to hold notes, photos, and heartfelt secrets! We will cover a cigar box with beautiful papers & embellishments. Next we will make a little letter book to hold some of the treasures you will keep in your new box.

Sylvia's first class will be the Silver Moon Collage. We have 2 dates scheduled for your chance to learn collage the Silver Moon way.

In this class, you will construct an envelope booklet journal using Silver Moon's unique grunge techniques on various surfaces. Learn how to rust paper with Sophisticated Finishes. The envelopes can be used to hold bits of ephemera, keepsakes or small photos.
We also have Crafty Secrets new Journal Note Booklets. These are so cute you'll want all 4 of them! Each booklet has 32 different designs to use for journaling, notes, or you can cut them up and use them on cards. They make great Mother's Day gifts too!

Metal Tape and Sculpey Collage $55
In this class every student will leave with a completed 7 X 7 metal tape & Sculpey collage. In class we will be combing several intriguing techniques to create a metallic grand masterpiece. The first technique we will cover is the basics of metal tape. How to create dramatic layer effects, distress and color this awesome medium. The second technique we will explore is creating exciting embellishments with Sculpey. We will go over stamping, baking, and coloring with this versatile product. After combining the first two on a 7 x 7 wood board .We will then put some added imagery using embossing technique and various rub-ons. To finish- we will add a few rustic touches with metallic pigment and paint. Please feel free to bring a small image to incorporate into your work. Don’t forget your favorite stamps as well.
