Ahh...the Lightrail...




Guess who took the lightrail all the way from the West Valley just to see us?
Donna, Alyce, and Diane of course! They said it was super simple to figure out how to ride the lightrail all the way to Downtown Mesa. They stopped along the way for lunch and also visited the Fiber Factory while they were here. All smiles and a stress free trip! If you happen to live that far away you should give it a try. Shabby Chic Silhouettes...

10:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

In this class we will cover the basics of beeswax and more. Everyone will choose a delicious background to help pop a chic silhouette. Choices of silhouette will include chandeliers, birdcages, and a few other hip and romantic selections. Then all students will learn the practice and steps of creating a perfect beeswax collage using their selected materials. Other topics taught in class will be the use of alcohol inks, distress ink, and the various practices of working with beeswax encaustic materials. All students will leave with a completed 10” X 10” inch beeswax collage on artboard. Extra classroom kits will be sold for any students that would like to create a set of three. It's hard to tell which is the candy and which is the Jewelry! You'll make a pair of earrings and charms for a necklace to give anyone who is as sweet as these.

New Stamps...

We just received some new Tweety Jill stamps~ Alice in Wonderland (for you April) and anyone else who loves Alice, or for those of you who enjoy being Queen for the Day!

We also have more Poultry Party stamps and who doesn't love to party with a bunch of Chickens?

Out with the New and In with the New...

Just before the New Year Maija brought us a new customer, Jessi, all the way from Nebraska! Here's a photo of Maija, Jessi and Kim. (I wasn't here that day to meet Jessi, so sad.)

It looks like Maija did a wonderful job of showing Jessi around town. We hope you ladies had a great visit!

Welcome 2009!
A new year and a lot of changes for Mystic Paper. As you can see by our new banner, we have been working on a new "online" look, one that fits the store a bit better and one that's more inviting than the last. On our upcoming new website you'll be able to purchase gift certificates and even shop! We are really working hard to make our website more user friendly for everyone. Please be patient while we work out all of the kinks and glitches.

We are also changing some of the things that go on here at the shop~

The first one is that we have changed things around to make room for new product. We really want to focus on bringing in new art related items and of course more hard to find unique items that you won't be able to find anywhere else.

Second, we are also changing our Coupon Day policy: Wednesday's will still be coupon day. You may use a valid competitor's coupon with the purchase of $30 or more. We will have more details posted here at Mystic Paper.

Another new feature that we are getting together on the blog is a whole blog page dedicated to just to all of Mystic Paper Swaps & Trades. Click and you'll be able to see the new ATC listing for 2009.

New Year, New Look...

Thanks to Mike P. for diligently working on our new blog header and our upcoming beautiful new website, (which is being worked on as we speak). We are so excited about it and we can't wait to show all of you. We really feel that the new look reflects not only the store's, but our personalities as well.
