Blogger is so not cooperating!

I don't know what is going on but Blogger is having troubles! We have tons of pictures to put on here and it won't let us! Arrrrrrrrrrrgh...

Anyway, here is what we could get to work.

This is a picture of the soldering class that Josie taught last weekend. What a fun class! A soldered house. If you missed the class we still have a few of the glass houses left.

Here's just a few of the happy classmates.

Each student made their own collage

There were some awesome collages

Fun was had by all and Josie is teaching another class in December called "Charming Charms".
Can't wait!

So this picture should have been on the blog a week ago, but again BLOGGER issues...

This young man (whose name we didn't get) came in asking us to help him decorate these boxes. They were for his girlfriend and he was sending her on a scavenger hunt for her birthday. In each box was a clue of where to go next. At the end of the hunt he was surprising her with a marriage proposal! Now isn't that romantic? Come to think of it, we have had quite a few romantic men coming in to make, yes I said make, projects for their loved ones! No pressure guys, but come on, how romantic is it to make something for your loved one!

And here's a picture of our Birthday Cake! Boy was it good...

So the rest of this blog has no pictures...borrrrrrrriiiinnnnng! So we'll just give you the facts, just the facts m'am.

There are a couple of spots left in Mike Putman's class this Saturday. It's an awesome beeswax collage called Black Cats and Witches. There is a picture on the web site (but not on blogger, boo hoo). You're going to learn lots of techniques and leave with a great Halloween decoration!

We have all 24 colors of the new Tim Holtz Crackle Paints and this Saturday only if you buy all 24 we will give you a 20% discount! We also have lots of the new Glimmer Mist and this Saturday only if you buy 6 colors we will give you a 10% discount! Happy happy!

We have the new paper and die cut stickers for the Pretoria line of 7 Gypsies. We also have the new Christmas line of Daisy D's. Gorgeous paper, diecuts, and rub-ons.

Mystic Paper is now carrying a new line of paper from a company called Webster's Pages. We took some really good pictures of the paper and again ARRRRRRGGGGHHHHH! Joy, if you're reading this I took a picture just for you because one of the papers is called Tranquility and is has a bird and says Antique Garden on it. It was made just for you! We swear!

So that's all for now...let's hope blogger gets this fixed. You know we love our pictures!

Happy Birthday Kim!

Today is Kim's Birthday, so give her a shout out for a VERY HAPPY Birthday!

We have 2 Awesome Classes coming up!

Soldered House Plaque

Have you thought about learning to solder?
This is a great class to learn basic soldering skills and for those of you who know how to solder it is a great class to hone your skills. Josie will show you soldering tricks she has learned through trial and error along the way. This class will touch on basic collage and composition techniques. For an alternative to the silver look of solder, Josie will show you how to use a solder patina.
This is a great project to showcase vintage family photos or for you pet lovers, it makes a great dog house. Josie will supply vintage photos and ephemera but she encourages you to bring some of your own color copied images. With the holidays around the corner, this project makes for a great gift. Supplies: Basic tool kit: most importantly a bone folder, tweezers, and vintage photos and ephemera. Bring a soldering iron with you, or you can rent one from Josie for $5.
The cost of this class is $55.00 and is on Saturday, October 13th 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

Awaiting Halloween
In this class you will assemble a Halloween themed wall hanging made with a vintage transparency, fabric and papers.
We will dye our own tissue paper with Adirondack inks, age watercolor paper with Distress inks, and burn the edges of a transparency. (don't worry the fire extinguisher will be handy!) Everything will be sewn to a loosely woven piece of black fabric and you will add stars, spider, flower, and a witches hat. The cost of the class is $30 and is on Saturday, October 13th
2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and is taught by Judy Bidwell.

There are only a couple of spots left in each of these classes, so call us to sign up ASAP!
