New 7 Gypsies!

Look at what we got in today!
New 7 Gypsies Journal Stickers, Gem Brads, Book Knobs, and Assorted Brads.

Our first lucky shopper was Colleen, who was so excited about her purchases she left the store before we could take her picture. So here is a likeness of her, with her book knobs.

VINTAGE FINDINGS

Mystic Paper is once again filled with vintage findings. It's been awhile but we are now restocked with vintage watch faces and parts. These are such fun additions to collages.

We also have some of the empty pocket watches that these came out of. Ever wonder what you could do with these? Here's the perfect example. These were

made by Judy Bidwell. Aren't these little collages fun! The watch faces, parts, and pocket
watches are limited as they are the real vintage deal. I have to wait for them to find me!

Another vintage find (I'm grinning from ear to ear) is the motherlode of all cook books. These are just like the cook books we used in the class. They range from unused with their box to good condition to used condition. They are so much fun to alter! Again, once they're gone they're gone. No ordering these babies!

We got a visit from the man in brown today. No photo shoot since we were at Ink It for the beginning of their closing sale. We are sad that they are closing but Mary Ellen was in great spirits and anxious to begin her new adventure. We wish her the best with her new Gallery. Back to the new product...we received a Creatiavity Notebook & Card Set. Trust me this is a must have for all journalers and artists. It is a journaling notebook and 50 inspirational cards . It's called Wide Open- Inspiration & Techniques for Art Journaling On The Edge and is written and I believe illustrated by Randi Feuerhelm-Watts.

This is my favorite card. Who doesn't remember Licking The Beaters!!

Basic Grey Designer Day!

March 9th, 2007

We are lucky enough to have one of Basic Grey's top designers come to our store on Friday, March 9th. Linda Albrecht will be here to teach two classes. Here are some samples of Linda's work with Basic Grey. She is also on Two Peas in a Bucket, look her up in the peanut gallery to see more of her gorgeous pages and ideas.

More Lovely Books

Here are a couple of books, back in from Tweety Jill that we got today.
We are also expecting these new books in at the beginning of March, we'll keep you posted on when they come in. We know that many of you are anxiously awaiting them.

It's always so exciting to come to work after going to CHA. You just never know what the man in brown is going to bring. Today we received the wonderful book Collage Lost and Found by Josie Cirincione who just happens to be an Arizona girl!
The exciting thing about getting her book in stock is that in August during Art Unraveled we are setting up a book signing with the artists whose books we carry here at Mystic Paper. We have already heard from Josie and Michael de Meng. Michael has a new book coming out in March called Secrets of Rusty Things. Doesn't it seem like
both of these books were written for our store? There are a few other artists we have contacted and we are hoping to hear from them soon. We'll let you know as things progress!
