Summer CHA...

Sure, we didn't go to Chicago this Summer, but look who's bringing us some NEW product!

That's right it's our favorite UPS guy Jeff who delivered our Cosmo Cricket! CC has won Mystic Paper over as a customer, thanks to lovely Amy who helped us out. We love the fact that they (CC) have impeccable customer service, which is what we (MP) strive for.

This is the gorgeous Wanted line. Sure we know that it's been around for awhile, but it is just so pretty and y'all know who is into the whole Cowgirl craze...wait, is it officially a craze, you know like the whole bird craze that's been happening? Well, even I think it's a craze and I'm not even into it. Although I did make a lovely cowgirl mirror recently. -jw

Stay tuned for more CC possibly next week, it'll be scary!

Another special request for a class!

This Friday, August 8 at 6:00 P.M. Meri Wiley will be teaching a special class for a group of women that requested it. There are a few spots still to be filled so, if you are free that night and would like to take the class give us a call. You will spend two hours creating cards. You will have a variety of themes to choose from. You can even bring photos of family or friends that are approximately one inch square and make a personalized card for them. If you have a favorite scrap of paper or material you want to use bring that too! This is a great class to take so you can learn what to do with all of those scraps we accumulate. Meri will bring all of her scraps for you to use as well. She will also provide the paper doll bodies. She has men and women. Call us right away if you are interested in this class!

In addition to the special class it is also "A Night Out In Downtown Mesa". It is "Dog Days of Summer" and you are invited to bring your own dog along. There will be contests, demonstrations of Power Paws Assistance dogs, and lots of other dog themed fun. Merchants will be open extended hours as well as restaurants. You can take the class and then join the fun!
What's for Lunch...

You all know how we love to send you to Downtown Restaurants for Lunch and Dinner.
Here is one Downtown destination you may have been to before, Inside The Bungalow. They now have new weekend hours and are open on Sundays! So when you all come down to see us on the weekend you can also dine at Inside The Bungalow. They also have a BLOG that we recently discovered and want to share it with you.

Inside The Bungalow is also going "green" and they have printable cafe menus:
Featuring Breakfast & Lunch, Espresso Drinks, and even Breakfast Smoothies
Food Menu and DrinkMenu

Needless to say, this is one of the most quaint spots in Downtown Mesa.
So Colleen and Sherry, you should get your coffee fix here on Saturdays and tell them we sent ya
. And as a sidebar Betty (one of the owners of Inside The Bungalow) is Jennifer's next door neighbor!-jw

Today...

Is our first Sunday being open in a while. And, here is our first customer of the day, Ann from Lincoln, Nebraska. She got right off the plane and headed for Mystic Paper. Wow, those e-mails really do work! Ann is here for Art Unraveled and said she was very tired, but she let us take her picture anyway. Hope everyone has a great time this week at AU and for those of you who have come in from out of town we'll be open next Sunday as well!

Things were buzzing at Mystic Paper today!

Mike taught his "Old World Journeys" Beeswax Collage today. These are just a few of the ladies that joined him. They had four themes to choose from for their journey. Of course there's always one rebel in every class and she brought her own materials to create her own theme.
This group took the class to celebrate CeCe's birthday. And see the young lady in the light blue top...that's Marija, who just arrived this morning from Serbia. Imagine, get off the plane and go straight to the classroom. We also had a student from Australia in this class. What a perfect theme! It really was a journey for two students!

Here are a couple of the finished collages up close. Everyone completed their projects and were thrilled with them! It's hard to see in the picture but there are layers of beeswax holding all of the elements of the collage and the wax is stamped in and colored with inks and powders.

This was our second class of the day. Suzette taught her "If The Shoe Fits" class. Christy on the far right took both classes and had to drive back to Anthem tonight. What a trooper. And Lynn, in the center is taking classes at Art Unraveled starting Monday. So, with today's class she will be taking seven classes in nine days! We're glad she started here.

Just a few of the supplies for this class.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their classes. It was a fun filled Saturday and we'll be back tomorrow to do it all over again. That's right, we are open on Sundays now 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. And, in the very near future we will be offering classes on Sundays. That will help all of you football widows out there! See you soon!

Wow is all we can say!

Tomorrow at Mystic Paper is going to be WOW! We scheduled a "special request" class with Mike Putman at the last minute. His "Old World Journey" Beeswax class is completely full. We have had phone calls right up until the last minute to see if there are any spots left tomorrow. Alot of people who have come to town for Art Unraveled which starts Sunday, have signed up. It's exciting for us and for Mike! Rest up tonight Mike you've got your work cut out for you tomorrow. The fridge is stocked, the AC will be on high, and everyone is going to have a blast tomorrow. We are so glad that you invited Judy
to lend a hand tomorrow. You are going to be one busy teacher. Pictures will be taken so we can share the fun with all of you!
